Unmake builds robotic stations that disassemble laptops, phones and other consumer devices, and recover the materials inside.
Electronics recycling is still mostly manual, because every device is laid out differently inside. Our stations inspect a device they have never seen, work out how it was assembled, and take it apart without damaging what is worth saving.
Each station pairs a robot arm and interchangeable tools with RGB-D cameras and force sensing. Vision-language models identify parts, plan the order of removal, and adjust when a device surprises them.
Every teardown is training data. Stations learn from each other across deployments, so the whole network improves with each device it opens.
The goal is a station cheap enough that smaller recycling facilities can make recovery pay.
